How much would a flight from England To Santiago, Chile cost?

I've never booked a holiday by myself, and i'm in the very early stages right now. A lot of the sites I've found have been veryyy confusing and I don't really feel like asking my family for help just yet. The first thing I want to do is save up enough money to get there - but of course to do that I need to know how much it will cost! I wouldn't need to stay in a hotel I don't think as the purpose of me going is to stay with a friend, so it's just a flight I need - for a week there, or maybe even two. But yeah, so how much would that cost, roughly? Thankyou for the help, and any sites you can reccomend to me.

Damn! £1000+? And here I was thinking it would be £500ish. Gah, I really need to get to Chile :C

I think you could find this trip cheaper on other internet sites, I have found it down to £635 on Expedia, travelling out in November.

You will need to research when you need to go and look to see what the prices might be for that period, as they do change, depending on demand.

I checked British Airways for you as an example, they fly here from London Heathrow via Sao Paulo. I used the dates 7-21 December as an example as flights are usually booked months in advanced to give you a good idea of how much it would cost you. The price was £ 1,040.60.
