Cheap Hostels or Hotels for Ocktoberfest 2009?

Hi! Myself and my friend have booked flights to munich for ocktoberfest 2009. The only thing is i have spent hours on the internet and there is no accomodation left at all!! The only hotels are ridiculously expensive. Would anyone know of any cheap hostels or hotels to stay?????

There are no cheap hostels or hotels left - they sell out very early for Oktoberfest. Even places like Rosenheim which is quite some distance from Munich only have expensive rooms left. The cheapest places left will be somewhere near the airport. You might be able to find something under 100 euro per night there. Other than that, start looking along the train lines at towns outside Munich. I live in northern Italy and go with friends every year; we booked rooms shortly after the end of last year's Oktoberfest. Even places in Kaufbeuren or Buchloe are over 100 euro per night for Oktoberfest

Hotels are extremely expensive.

The prices start from $17 which is a good value imho...

Yeah they all fill up ridiculously fast. Try hostels for all you're worth. If that fails, ask in travel forums for help. In addition, you can also try Couchsurfing - that might be your only chance!

why don'tt you get a tent there are bound to be plenty of camping sites there and you could use there facilitiess
