Vegas Hotels: Planet Hollywood or New York New York?

Question

Im spending 3 nights in Vegas and wondered which hotel its the best. I have to chose from these 2. Thankyou!!

Both Hotels are nice I like New York New York nut Planet Hollywood might be a better location. I do not think you will be disappointed in either one. Good Luck

Well i've never been 2 Vegas but my mom and my sister spent 3 nights there and they said that the New york New york hotel was awesome cuz that's where they stayed. so I would say New york New york

planet hollywood. it has alot of intresting stores such as urban outfitters and a store with all magic things. its a magic store, it think its called hodini or something like that haha. and another store with all different types of hats. it might be called the mad hatter, im not sure. planted hollywood use to be the aladdin if you didnt already know that. urban outfitters is a clothing store and has alot of cute clothes. it also has a really, reallyyyyyy delicious buffet. its located by urban outfitters, but it is so good!!! it has different types of foods from all over the world. italian, mediteranian, american, french, japanese, chinese, mexican,ect. oh! and cotton candy haha. i find it much more intresting. new york new york? umm yeah it has an arcade, some karoke resturant where drunk guys sing.. and a roller coaster thats not even that exciting.
oh, and i think that planet hollywood has a much more nice and clean, comfy atmosphere. everytime i go to nyny i feel kind of stuffy.

New York new York! I didn't stay there, we were at the MGM across the street, but we went in a looked around and my mum said if we ever went again we'd stay there!

It has a roller coaster to! A ROLLER COASTER!!! Also, You can walk down the strip from there, I think Planet Hollywood is further down, if i remember correctly?

Anyway New York New York would be my choice.

Both hotels are very nice, it really depends on your age, what kind of things you plan to do in vegas and stuff like that.

I havent been to either two of the pools so I cannot comment on that but both casinos are amazing, Planet Hollywood is a bit more hip and for the younger generation, I'd say New York New York was for younger people also, by younger I mean 21-35's.
The location isnt very much of a difference, New York New York is a bit more nearer the end of the strip, up with Luxor, Tropocana, Mandalay bay etc and right next door to Monte Carlo. The Planet Hollywood is a fab hotel though - the rooms are amazing in this hotel, if you are planning on staying in a hollywood hip room (think this is one of the lowest ones you can get) that room is amazing!

I hate Planet Hollywood as a hotel. NY NY is better. Problem is, Planet Hollywood is in a much better location than NY NY, IMO. So, I think I would stay at PH, but not gamble there. It's impossible to win any money at that hotel. Their slots are super-tight.

Have fun in Vegas! I love that place!!!

Trivia- Planet Hollywood is on the site where the old Aladdin used to stand. That's where Elvis and Lisa Marie got married!!! :) You should watch the implosion video on YouTube. Cool Stuff.

I would say its a toss up as far as quality. planet Hollywood has a younger crowd and dealers in hotter outfits..If you're in your twenties you might want to go with PH, its pretty much mid strip.

Planet Hollywood has been newly renovated. Its more centralized on the strip. It has a large shopping mall attached and is lot of fun. New York New York isn't as good location wise and doesnt have as much to offer

planet hollywood has better shopping, but ny ny is better to gamble (looser slots, friendlier dealers, etc...)

planet hollywood has good sit down resturants but nyny has great fast food like pizza, hot dogs etc.

if you have any kids nyny has an arcade as well as a roller coaster and espnzone, planethollywood again has shops thats all.

I've visited Las Vegas 18 times the past 17 years and would not even hesitate in choosing Planet Hollywood over NY NY.

PH! Heard they upgraded the rooms linens and bedrooms! Less kids at the Pool than NYNY!

Both hotels are very fine. I think PH has the better location but NYNY have very good hotels like Mandalay or MGM around. Anyway you cannot go wrong with any of these hotels. Stayed at NYNY twice... it was nice but if i had to pick again I'd say Planet Hollywood only because it's in the middle of the Strip. I don't know how the rooms are, but hey you're only sleeping there right? NYNY cost more for a taxi bc the way it is set up the driver has to go all the way around the building. If you stay at Planet you could walk anywhere on the Strip no problem. NYNY is also more family friendly, they have a roller coaster (scary as s h i t) and no good clubs. it also has a bridge that connects to Excalibur, but it could be very confusing to get out to the main strip from either hotel if this is you're first time there, planets casino opens right up to the strips main sidewalk. If you're going to party stay at planet. If you're going to enjoy Vegas during the "day" NYNY might be what you want. hope i helped.

I am not a fan of the Hard Rock or it's location. NY NY is a much better location. The Hotel is mid range. Shoot for a suite room at NY NY and have fun.

Planet Hollywood is small but nice but not easy walking to other casinos. NYNY is great. Love the inside casino area and you are by Luxor, Monte Carlo, Tropicana, MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay, and Excalibur. I would take NYNY any day

Definitely stay at New York, New York.

That hotel is fantastic.

Planet Hollywood is OK. It doesn't have what New York, New York has.
