Ethnic minorities told to leave Northern Ireland from loyalists groups?

Ethnic minorities have been issued with a chilling threat to get out of Northern Ireland from young loyalists. A letter from the youth wing of the Ulster Defence Association (UDA) warned foreigners to leave Northern Ireland before July 12. A note to community organisations last week stated: "No sympathy for foreigners, get out of our Queen's country before our bonfire night (July 11) and parade day (July 12). Other than that your building will be blown up………… Funny when you think of it, considering that loyalists are blown-ins from a foreign country.

Additional Details

You may view it as a sh*t stirring comment, I am merely showing how ludicrous the comment from the Loyalist really is. Like WASP in America saying keep America Anglo Saxon White.

These people can spout all the hatred they want, its when they gather popular appeal, and people start to believe them- then the trouble starts.

The problem with the loyalist community in NI is its beginning to feel alienated and in decline. They have a history of dealing with anyone thats not to their liking with violence, (and members of the nationalist community too), and they got away with it for years and years. Their history glorifies violence against minorities, so seems they can't get away with it against the Catholic community any more they have turned their attention to others they see as foreigners. Remember just before 9/11 the same community thought it was justifiable to scream hatred and abuse at 5 year old girls going to school?

I just hope the majority of normal decent people in NI stand up to these bullies and tell them they don't want these eejits representing their voice in the community.

Yet again in this section, a valid and concerning issue is then followed and ruined by an ignorant sh*t stirring comment designed to offend and alienate people. When will people like you learn?

I have to say that I agree with you - what the hell are they thinking, and who the hell do they think they are, to be saying such a thing.

They are not going to attract business into their area, that's for sure. That attitude is a most definite 'cut off the nose to spite the face' thing, and they will realise their mistake in years to come.

I'm British living in England, and I visit Ireland regularly. I am ashamed that these people call themselves British, whether you think that they are blown in or not. Can't somebody round them all up, put them on a plane and dump them all in the middle of the Atlantic as fish fodder.

Btw...as we are all supposed to be descendants of Africans then it could be stated that we are all blown ins, as you so eloquently phrase it...do you truly know where all your ancestors came from.

I agree, I wish all these extremists could be herded up and stuck on an island somewhere, then that means they can get their wish to only live among their own kind, and leave the rest of us in peace.

Another excerpt from the text you read is this:

"The letter was received by the Belfast Islamic Centre, the Polish Association and Indian Community Centre. It was marked Ulster Young Militants and bore the logo of far-right group Combat 18."

Combat 18!! That says it all, doesn't it?

    Let's kill some fascists...
    http://hs.riverdale.k12.or.us/~hfinnert/…

No tolerance to fascism. Kill them all. Hang their heads in the center of every city for warning.

The loyalists are a disgusting minority there. There is only one solution. Axe and fire to the fascists.

What could be expected from ignorant, bored neo-Nazi types like them. Foreigners out......it's funny if it wasn't so serious. Maybe they should stop and think where their forefathers came from? Scotland wasn't it?!

Shocking it is & think they should stop those marches up there anyway as it is only causing problems & fueling up anger again....why can't people just accept others without judging & racism, not right or fair & shows a basic lack of understanding & love in a person ...

I agree. There really aren't any smart racists I can think of. Bigotry is something that offers comfort and the illusion of power to those that are rather dim to begin with. Logic is lost on them.

I hope they get the opposition that they deserve. Bullies are only as strong as people let them be.

This is deliberate **** stirring. Oh and sorry but if you knew anything about the situation you wouldn't be going on with that 'Loyalists are all blow-ins crap'.The fact is that just about everyone in Ireland has family that came from Britain. Just about every person that came over from Britain have Irish family.

All extremists are scum both loyalist and nationalist. Getting worked up about the shite they talk about is exactly what they want.

i completely agree with you. it is the exact same as the KKK in America, whites who infact themselves were immigrants for Europe burning black people out of their homes. it's ridiculous. but the small problem is that the loyalists in Northern Ireland and the general unionist population of Northern Ireland are quite stupid and are not about to realise this in a hurry. i think that they should all f*** off back to England where they claim to love so much and take their dirty flags with them.

Interesting. Seems to me that these 'loyalists' (loyal to what I wonder?) will soon be an ethnic minority themselves!!

Your comment re 'blow-ins' though is quite wrong. Scotland was settled mainly by the Irish originally and as most of these people in the six counties arrived from Scotland basically they were just coming home as it were.

Anyway - that's beside the point. Belfast is a bigoted hole were the population have to be divided by walls in case they kill each other. Is that civilized?

You say loyalists are blown in from a foreign country. How strange. They are British living in Uk.. You have no links so can assume you made this whole story up because you support the IRA who killed the loyalists in their thousands . "Ira the worlds most hated terror group in history of mankind "( Irish Times May 20th p 34.) The Ira who maim children from any country to stop them talking. The IRa who kill any one to show their evilness. Talk about real evil Sean. Without the loyalists the IRA would still be killing thousands of Irish innocents every day. The Ira who hide behind masks and shoot in the back. Remember them Sean like you who keep your questions private.!

I agree. And the current wave of violence against Catholics and now foreigners (not necessarily Catholic) is taking loyalists back decades or more. The vitriol spewed for example by FGAU illustrates the closed-mindedness that exists in some small spots north of the border. There are thousands of lovely people up there who would not concur with his views. Many of them may be loyalists who are not extremists.

It must be noticed by all that Catholics, Protestants, other religions and various nationalities are living peacefully side by side down south. If it works for us, why not up north too?

I can't understand the mindset that thinks being Catholic or a foreigner is a capital crime.

I am from Northern Ireland, and proud of it, does that make me a loyalist? and I am ashamed by these people on their racist behaviour, there is no excuse for it.
I would question your statement "loyalists are blown-ins from a foreign country." I was born and reared in N.I. and i don't class myself as a blow in !!,does that mean i don't have a right to live in the country i was born in, N.I.?
If you go far enough back in history, we are ALL blow-ins....
