Any nice sandy beaches around La Spezia/Genova or Ravenna or Livorno ?

We are off to Bologna later this year and want to spend a few days by the sea on a sandy beach. So looking at map our options seem to be Around La Spezia/Genova or Across to Ravenna area or down to Livorno.

Also Looking for a nice reasonable priced hotel within these areas.

hi fussy, i'm italian and i live not very far from bologna.all along the emilia-romagna (the region of bologna) coast there are sandy beaches.this is the most famous area for holidays because of the beaches, the amusements, the services and accommodations.it is called "riviera romagnola".i suggest you to visit cervia..it's very kind and differently from other seaside resorts on the riviera, it has a great historical centre and it's more cultural.it also has a big spa with a parc.in addiction you can easily arrive there from bologna because it has a station near the centre (while other resorts don't have it).
