Check these sites. There is so much to do. For sure don't miss Havana most tourists I've met agree it's the highlight of their visit. Below are some excursion prices. Have a wonderful time. Since you are from if you are from the U.k. take Sterling. For sure don't take American. Check the site below for approximate rates. You will use the Convertible Peso (CUC) it's used by tourists. you can't buy it anywhere except Cuba.

Things to do, not many. Watch the Ladies in White being harrassed by the comunist mobs and maybe beaten

Visit Villa Marista and El Combinado del Este

And don't exchange money on the street! You have to declare your money going in to Cuba, and upon exit. When you exchange money for convertible pesos at a cambio, you get a receipt which you must keep. It has to balance when you leave. Only use the convertible pesos when shopping. The best adventures in Cuba are the package bus tours (there's always a bar in the back of the bus!). Sometimes there's music festivals and antique car shows. Lots of sports like baseball and football. Havana is full of musems. Bike & scooter rentals. Rent a scooter and go to an ice-cream palace. SCUBA diving. Visit the Dupont mansion. I like going to the shooting galleries and blasting off a couple of boxes of ammo. Go to an art gallery to unwind afterward. The weather's usually OK in September, but it's the tail-end of the hurrican season so sometimes it can be cold and wet.

I was in Varadero Cuba last september and even though went through 2 hurricanes it was AMAZING. We went on the Havana overnight tour with Tropicana show which is a must. We also went swimming with the dolphins, the Catamaran tour is another unmissable trip and I recommend the lobster on the Cat as it is fresh caught before you set off. www.holidaytruths.co.uk is a great site for info and you can read up to date reviews on all hotels including the Blau which is one of the most popular hotels. Enjoy the experience of a lifetime but DON'T buy cigars from street folk or waiters as 95pc of them are FAKE.
