What do you think of the country Gran Canaria?

I have visited it twice in the past 18 months.. and I think the country is beautiful (i stayed in Amadores in a lovely hotel called Riu Vista Mar) and i've visited Puerto Rico, Puerto de Mogan, Arguineguin and las palmas..
any views from person experience of gran canaria?

Gran Canaria is an Island that belongs to an European country: Spain.
The seven Islands are called: The Canary Islands.

I was born in this Island so I can inform you accuratelly.

The quality of life here is considerably good. It has been officially reported that we're on one of the only spots in world with very good and balanced weather (never extremely cold never extremely hot) throughout the 12 months of the year.

There are good beaches, Museums, nice Montain-views for long walks (where has even snowed in Winter), Aquatic Parks, Night life and many other options for leisure.

Most services and shopping are considered quite affordable in comparison with many other spots in Europe.

People in general tend to be welcoming and friendly.

Gran Canaria is not a country!

It is one of seven islands which make up the Canary islands, a Spanish archipelago about 100km from the coast of west Africa.

There are beautiful places there, but unfortunately a lot of it has been ruined by tourism.

I was in Mogan about twenty five years ago, a small fishing village then!
I've seen photos of what it looks like now...I prefer to remember it as it was.
