I was born and raised in Britain UK but can I get Dual Citzenship?

Question

My mother was born in Guyana and has lived in the uk for 30 years so she now has a Guyanese and British Passport. Can i get a Guyanese passport aswell?

Additional Details

My father is English and was born and Raised here.

You might be able to from your mother's side. You need to speak to the Guyana'n High Commission. UK Foreign Office has contact details for all foreign representation in the UK.

you might be entitled to guyanese citizenship by descent from your mother ... you'd have to ask the embassy

I dont know what the law regarding nationality is in Guyana, but in most countries you can take a parents nationality.
