Anyone visited Tunisia on holidays in the last year? What was it like? And what resort did you go to?

We have just booked up for the Soviva Resort in Port el Kantaoui... we are not going till january next year (2010), does anyone have any experiences of this resort/hotel? What kind of food do they have in Tunisia and what's the currency? Is it cheap or expensive like the Euro.. Please only answer if you have genuine information to help us..Thanks in advance.

Not in the last year,but two years ago I stayed in the resort of Hammamet,and to be honest I have to say I'd be quite happy if I never saw that country again.
The food was a disgrace and I ended up with food poisoning,the place itself was filthy,and I was hounded the minute I left the hotel grounds by little kids demanding money.
Flies are a nightmare so take plenty of protection...you'll need it.
