Can those new tall GATSO Speed Cameras catch you speeding from the front?

I was going down a hill on 2 lane road with speed limit of 40mph but on the opposite 2 lane side there was that new tall gatso speed camera with its road markings on that side of the 2 lanes. On my side there were no road markings but do they use the road markings on the other side to see how fast you are going or is it digital. I just slowed down to 40mph just before approaching the road markings which i saw on the other side.

Any info helpful.

I think a difference in them taller gatsos compared to the normal ones is it takes 3 pictures stead of two, two pictures from each end of the lines or whatever to simply indicate the speed your doing and a 3rd takes a picture of your no plate (normally rear) but regarding your question because you say only road markings on the one side I would't b too sure but probably wdnt av thought so cos of that, but don't take chances on it cos you wd only find out 4 sure when its too late.
Btw where is the gatso your on about cos last wk i got flashed by one of them too and also was a 40 limit?
