Good cheap accommodation in liverpool..?

Question

Hi, myself and 2 friends are heading down to Liverpool for a long weekend in July - Thurs-Sunday.

Can anyone recommend any good cheap places to stay? Not the travel lodge or holiday inn. I'm open for looking at any guest houses or B&B's. Anything under £50 per night and not more than 15-20 mins walk from teh city centre.

you wont find anything near the city centre for less than £50 but this place is advertised from £40 and is on a really good bus route (every 10 minutes to city centre for about £1 60) and is about 20 minutes bus ride

You'll be lucky. I spent a lot of time looking for somewhere in Liverpool recently, and was really suprised at the expense. Nothing under £50 (unless you want to stay in a real 'football fan' dump). Dont know why the city is so expensive. Can i recommend www.laterooms.com. I use it a lot and its never let me down yet.

there are quite a few sites that you can search that will likely give you the best prices available. just go here: http://bookme.com/fje9fk.php and you will be able to compare prices on all the reputable travel sites in just a couple minutes. it's very convenient and will save you a bunch of time and money. Also, make sure you buy them online... otherwise they charge much higher fees for phone orders. good luck.

DEFO the formula one in Liverpool city centre, its £25 p/p p/n, and its nice and clean and 5 min opppersite albert dock .....sorry don know the number though, google it x

though don't kno any independent guesthouses in Liverpool - you may be better staying in Chester and travelling in.

There's the YHA by the docks or the new Hatters hotel on Mount Pleasant.

However, I'd also highly recommend LateRooms.
