Hi I am going to Quito in Ecuador in a couple of weeks and...?

Question

I am going to Quito in Ecuador in a couple of weeks and am spending a day and night there by myself before a tour starts around ecuador. I wondered if anyone had been and good safe places to go/eat and things to do during the day. I'm staying at Hotel Plaza Internacional so places near there would be great. Many Thanks! x

The hotel you are staying is near La Casa de la Cultura, you can walk to Amazonaz ave, and will find some places to eat and you can check the artesanal market as well. Around la Mariscal you can find bars and restaurants where you can eat, if you are vegetarian or have a light diet you will find some places, but try some lovely ecuadorian food.
