Prices are in USD since another $ wasn't specified.

You can get a double room (two people) starting around 750 kr ($111) per night at a budget hotel. An average double room costs about 1000 kr ($150).

Guest houses and hostels are sometimes a little cheaper. The YMCA in Bergen costs 450 kr ($67) per person per night for a double room. A dorm (shared room with bunks) costs 180 kr ($27) per person per night. A local guest house (gjestehus in Norwegian) costs 275 kr ($41) per person per night for a double room.

If you buy all your food from grocery stores and prepare it yourself, about 100kr ($15) per person per day should be sufficient. A main course in a cheap restaurant costs 85-150 kr ($13-22), nicer restaurants can be much more expensive. You can find lunch specials for $10-15. Pizza at a major chain costs about 220 kr ($33) for a large. Street food can be a little cheaper, but it will be more expensive than may be expected. If you drink, expect to pay at least 60 kr ($9) for a pint in a pub.
