Your Opinions :- HM Martinique in Majorca and Majorca in general?

Hi, I'm thinking of going to Majorca, Spain, and staying in the apart-hotel HM Martinique. Can anyone please tell me, if you've stayed in this hotel and if you've been to Majorca before, if it is good for a family? I've read in some reviews that it can get very noisy, and the children might not like that. Is this suitable for my teen children ?

Thanks.

It depends how liberal you are with your teenagers? Personaly I wouldnt go or take teenagers to Magaluf, high season June, July, August, are for partying. Alcudia is a great family resort but I prefer Santa Ponsa for families and teenagers, Arenal is nice. Have you ever seen the Holiday Reps program from Greeces,Falaraki? thats similar to Magaluf & Palma.

Thank You. If I decide to go to Magalluf maybe in April, during the Easter break, will that be a bad idea? Please reply to this question by e-mail to :- mli2828@hotmail.co.uk .

Hi! I've been in Majorca last month with my family and stayed in one hotel of Iberostar Hotels & Resorts. It was really an excellent one for family and I thought it might be of interest for you as you are looking something for your teen children. Everything in our vacation was superb.

    Good luck!

Hi i live in santa ponsa five mins drive form magaluf, personally i wouldnt take your kids there or even go there in summer its full of young ones getting hammered and collapsing on the roads and ofcourse fighting etc etc then theres the touts .... constantly harassing you. Santa Ponsa can be nice at certain times of the season however this is an irish resort and it is also pretty busy with the young ones. As long as you dont book into any of these hotels below that are in santa ponsa you will be fine . these hotels are in the same area and cater mainly too the young irish.
    sunbeach
    holiday centre
    deya
    verdemar
If you avoid these hotels then santa ponsa is a good choice for you! lots to do plenty of family bars and good restaurants.
there is a website called santa ponsa scene i would have a look see what you think.
    Good luck!!

    Which resort?
Palma Nova, which joins on to Magaluf is a quieter resort and would be better for a family holiday. I've been going to Majorca for 30 years and prefer Palma Nova to any other resort. You can walk into Magaluf for the shops or the beach during the day but it can be really wild and noisy at night.
