How can I release the immobiliser on a 10-year old Jeep Grand Cherokee?

My Jeep is fine mechanically, but the immobiliser refuses to release from the remote control, and so the engine will not start. Any help would be appreciated.

If its a factory fit unit, then the best thing to do is call out a mobile auto electrician as they can be a real pig to by-pass.

It can be done fairly easily once you have access to the control module. But obviously anyone who knows how to do it will be reluctant to tell you. If all someone had to do to bypass an immobiliser is ask on the internet there wouldn't be much point in having immobilisers fitted in the first place.
