*extremely* cheap hotels in London/Greater London?

I know this is a long-shot but I'm trying everything.

I'm desperate to find somewhere as google is no help at all and I have been searching like mad for ages, I feel like my head is going to explode and I'm pretty upset. While I live in Greater London, I have two cats and unfortunately my boyfriend who I'm hoping can visit me from Denmark is allergic to them, therefore we need a different place to stay. My family all have at least one cat and I don't know anyone who I could ask for help. I'm looking for really really really cheap accommodation, well the cheapest possible for a double room. I know it sounds fussy but we're a couple and we don't really want to sleep in a shared bedroom with strangers for the entire time.

The cheapest we've found is a travelodge which is still over £100 pounds each for us. We're both broke students though and it's not easy, I'm starting to worry that he'll never be able to visit me for more than a weekend..ever. I know it's highly unlikely but I just thought I'd try and see if anyone knows of any possible ideas. He really wants to see England properly, not being able to show him my home is a horrible thing :(

Well, sorry for the long message. Any help is *really* appreciated although I doubt anyone can really help.

Additional Details

Thanks for the help so far, I'll add that anywhere that's not London but is not too far away is definitely helpful too!

I wish I could swap flats but I am a student living at home, I doubt my family would be too thrilled.

Have you tried easy hotel? The further in advance you book the cheaper it will be. They are very boring hotels, but at least it's clean and somewhere to sleep, also they are in some great locations so you can really hit the town with your boyfriend and get back easily.

:) The Heathrow one is pretty cheap, it's actually a possibilty, thankyou! We really don't care if it's a boring hotel we just need a room and we can get into London easily via tube.

Everyone else, thanks for the help still! You guys have been helpful and nice enough not to troll me :)
