New York Hotel Taxes Help?

I am staying at the Westin Times Square for 6 nights and taxes are not included here is the information


City Tax of 5.00% Per Room / Per Night is not included in the rate.
State Tax of 8.38% Per Room / Per Night is not included in the rate
Occupancy Tax of USD 2.00 Per Room / Per Night is not included in the rate.
Hotel Unit Fee of USD 1.50 Per Room / Per Night is not included in the rate


Any ideas how much money this will come out as either in GBP or USD

The rate is 329 USD a night
Its a great deal stay for 6 nights and 2 nights are free

Unless I read this well wrong you are staying 6 nights but only paying for 4. I come up with:

Room: 4 nights @ 329 = $1,316.00
City Tax: 5% = $65.80
State Tax: 8.38% = $110.28
Occ. Tax: 6 nights @ $@ = $12.00
Htl. Fee: 6 nights @ $1.50 = $9.00

TOTAL $1,513.08 @ 1.46 GBP = 1,036.36 GBP

Thats not a great deal and the total price for all of these taxes should have been on the hotel website when you booked. I think it would work out roughly at an extra 360 usd.

The park central hotel is much better value and in a great location. They also have 40% off until the end of March and great early bird discounts after that including 20% off if you stay 5 nights or more.

It will cost you $2,259.12 US or 1561.2778 GBP also you should tip the chamber maid $30 US for the stay.

My friend, if my math is correct, that will come up to a total of $2,267.39 USD, that is £1,566.99 GBP.
