Yes and no. They are owned by the same parent company, daimler (which makes Mercedes, Maybach, and Smart). Some mercedes-benzes look similar to Maybach's cars (Like the S-Class). However, Maybachs are usually priced between $350,000 and $450,000. Originally no.They made their own cars from about 1909 to 1946.
But they are now. Maybach and Daimler worked together in the early days. Benz now owns the name and makes the cars.
