I'm planning a trip to American and need some help please from Americans!?

Basically, I'm going to San Antonio to see a rodeo where one of my favourite singer/bands are playing (it's either Alan Jackson or Brooks and Dunn). How much would it cost to take a taxi from/to the following places?

1) Airport - Hotel 8.7 miles
2) Hotel - Rodeo 3.2 miles
3) Rodeo - Hotel 3.2 miles
4) Hotel - Airport 8.7 miles

Not all at once, but over five days! Just on estimate please? Thank-you

are you freakin' kidding me? The first dude gives a great resource, my second comment was accurate and gave wiggle room for tips, and the 3rd a$Zclown just slams and jams some numbers down and gets best answer?! Must be padding your BFs account!!

keep in mind that San Antonio is not like New York City; the city isn't just swarming with cabs. You will find cabs at the airport to take you to the hotel (does the hotel offer an airport shuttle?), but for the others, you'll want to call the company ahead of time and reserve a cab to show up at the desired time.

Tax/tip for the airport to/from will probably be around $20 each way. Figure $10-15 each way for the rodeo.

So figure $60-70 cab fare all total.

Here is an excerpt from the San Antonio Yellow Cab web site:

All taxis charge $2.00 for the first one sixth of a mile and $2.15 for each mile thereafter (Plus gas surcharge, if applicable). Wait time and traffic delay is $24/hour. There is a $1 surcharge for all trips that originate between 9 PM and 5 am. The minimum downtown fare is $5. The minimum airport departure fare is $11.50. Many outlying communities have minimum fares.

They have a fare estimator on the web site if you know the addresses:
