I stayed in the Reykjavik Centrum in March this year and thoroughly recommend it.

It has a great central location within the city centre. Although in a quiet corner it is literally a minute away from the parliament building and many shops, bars and restaurants.

I have also spent a night at it's sister hotel, the Reykjavik Grand which is a much bigger and very nice hotel indeed. The main negative for the Grand, depending on the purpose of your visit, is it's location. It is on the outskirts of the city centre and nowhere near as convenient for sight seeing, shopping,dining etc as the Centrum.

I just got back from a visit to Iceland. What an amazing place! We stayed outside of Reykjavik with friends, but I did consult this site for loads of info during my travels: http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotels-g189970-Reykjavik-Hotels.html. If you have the chance you MUST go to BLUE LAGOON (they have a hotel attached as well). Have fun!!
