Hi anyone know of a HELSINKI self catering appartment available for long weekend in August 2009 for 5 people?

My husband is running the Helsinki marathon on Aug 15th 2009. I would love to support him with my 3 children, but can't afford the hotel costs. Does anyone know of a self catering appartment in Helsinki capable of sleeping 5 people available 14th Aug - 16th Aug?

As I'm sure you have already discovered, Helsinki is an incredibly expensive place for accomodation. I used to stay at a great little (cheap) hotel when I went there on business but it closed this year. Apartments are dear and they will want to charge you for a whole week which will be £300-£500.
Try this site - I havn't actually used it myself but it might suit. It's a kind of family run, small scale Travelodge. You book on the internet and the earlier you book, the cheaper the prices. They don't have a reception or anything - its all done by key codes etc. They have small kitchens and each can accomodate 4 adults.
If you fish around on the internet you might find some customer reviews.
