Are there any hybrid estate cars available?

I am thinking that our next family car really ought to be a hybrid, but I still want the large boot space that I have available with our Vauxhall estate. Are there any hyrbids that are estates or that have 7 seats where you can atleast fold down the back ones if neccessary?

the mileage achieved with hybrid cars is still only in the low 40 per gallon. If you choose a diesel it will be better than that. I have a saab 93 est which gets 46mpg. I have a peugeot 406 diesel and this got nearly 50mpg. Check out the details

Hybrids are expensive to buy - the only one which might be called an Estate is the Lexus 4x4 and the fuel consumption of that is worse than most Vauxhall estates. Hybrids are not that economical and you have to be aware that their battery packs have a limited life. As the others say, just go for a Diesel for the next one and wait for the technology to catch up. If you have been happy with your VX then the Zafira is still a good choice.

Firstly, I have to be honest with you; I thought "interesting question", and yes I have a 1.6i Astra Estate and have always been highly pleased with it in every respect. So, what did I do? I asked the search engine and guess what it told me . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Citroen C5 estate . . made in Germany. It has a vague similarity to your beloved Astra and I then became interested so I requested a brochure.
Try www.citroen.co.uk/microsite/citroen-c5/ and I hope your prayer is answered.

at that size, the hybrids are only getting low 30's for fuel economy. a diesel will easily beat that. car magazine reported low 40's for a chrysler town and country diesel.
