Can anyone reccommend where i can find a cheap hotel in the capital of a cheap country in the eastern block of europe such as lithuania, latvia, hungary etc.? or an alternative to a hotel that is cheap

etc etc - probably as mentioned some hostels may have poorer facilities and be cheaper , but these prices are so low it's probably not worth considering anything lower.

The higher the star rating , generally the higher the price - but this site will give you some good indications.

I found a few hotels for $35 per night, maybe even cheaper, on BookMe.com. Latvia was the cheapest that I found, but Hungary was right behind.
