What would you do to visit Lapland at Christmas?

Question

We want to go on a holiday for a family of four from UK to Norway or Finland at or near Christmas. We just want a quiet winter holiday and to get to see Father Christmas. We don't want something horrendously expensive, and we don't really want something that's based on a winter sports holiday because we're not really into winter sports. Just a simple flight plus hotel/apartment or similar package would be fine.... Thank you!
