Have they discontinued the uk.geocities.com domain? ?

Webpages from uk.geocities.com have disappeared without warning, showing the domain as www.geocities.com and the specific webpage as non-existant, even though was working perfectly for years!

Additional Details

If you're in a similar situation do a yahoo/google search and look at cached copies of your webpages and save them as html and as whole webpages, so something will be salvaged at least!

I too was quite surprised when my site had disappeared.
If you have an FTP programme you can transfer all the files from the server into a folder on your own PC - it's quicker than the search engine method of recovery.
It would have been better if we'd received advanced warning of Yahoo's action.

No they haven't but it looks as if they've 'upgraded it'. All of my sites have disappeared from my account, they're still on the web but the admin has gone gone gone...
So, if you had a geocities account, they will 'renew' it and all your info will go.
    Its really upsetting.
