I have strange itchy bumps on my right thumb and don't know what they are! Any ideas?

They appeared on Thurs - there's about 5 or 6 of them - there's no skin discolouration but they are very itchy. does anyone have any idea what they could be?

Keep your eye on them in case they spread. Scabies can start in the web of the fingers and is VERY itchy.

Some kind of allergy. Get some hydrocortisone cream (about $3.00) at the WalMart or drug store and that should clear it up right away.

Difficult to answer with such little info. Please advise exactly where you were putting your thumb on Thursday or just before. Then I am sure we would be able to give you a more accurate answer

The "strange" little bumps could be an alergic reaction to something or they could be some kind of bug bite or they could be some kind of fungus. hopefully it isn't anything horrible! good luck

do they have blisters on top and have you any on your feet..if so it could be hand foot and mouth.

otherswise have you changed your soap etc could be a reaction or if you have used latex gloves.

my hands get itchy bumps on them just before the dermititis comes out, it starts as itchy bumps and then cracks and peels. could be anything!

if it carries on i would go to the docs

well it says the first sign of madness is having a itchy thumb the second is looking for it !!!!!!! lol

soz i shouldn't laugh i have had that before it is so annoying.
i have looked on web for cause can't find it.
have you been near any chemicals?
or maybe you have grazed your thumb?

sounds like a spider bite, one spider bite generates an itchy area, with tiny bumps and be very itchy, go to your doctor, he will more than likely give you some top-a-cort cream and it might go away in a few days .
