What happens to your body when you eat too much salt?

Like what the health risks are, what types of salts? =S That sort of thing.

Too much salt will increase blood pressure and when that happens the body slows down metabolism to compensate. General swelling and harm to the heart is possible.
Best rule of thumb, everything in moderation. Not too much of anything. Too much is too much where a little dab will do you.
