Is Birmingham NEC Arena within walking distance of the Holiday Inn Express hotel and Birmingham Intl Station?

Question

I have just booked a night in the Holiday Inn Express for next month when I'm at a concert at the Arena. I know the Hotel is around 1.5 miles away from the arena and station but the hotel is on a dual carriageway. Is there a safe walking route? Can you walk through the whole NEC site, is it open all the time? If you can walk how long would it take?

Yes you can walk it.
Quite a pleasant walk.
About 15 minutes.
The hotel should be able to provide you with a map showing the route which is around the NEC site not through it.
If you are a girl and going on your own don't do it on your own at night - just in case! It is well lit but there are dark spots along the way!

Call the bleeding hotel you've booked with and ask them. Did you get your in this country? if you did its a sad day

the station and the arena are in walking distance, i dont know about the hotel as i'm an old codger and it wasn't even built in my day, but if it says its nearby, then i could belive it
