Urgent!! Student accommodation (pref studio) in Lyon , France!?

hi there

i am moving to france for 3 months on monday to study as an erasmus student at lyon university.

i had to sit re-sits and so am arriving in lyon 2 weeks later than most students. for this reason, i CANNOT find any accommodation whatsoever!! :os and ive tried a lot.. the student studios (uni ones and private ones) all seem to be taken and / or only accept french garantors or students that are there for the entire academic year.

i arrive on monday and my uni said to get a hotel and then find something when i get there but ive heard that students there have been looking for 3 weeks and found nothing :(

i havent got a lot of money to be staying in a hotel for ages and also i am already gonna feel homesick so dont wanna be in some random hotel without contact back home via the internet!

i know what i wanna live alone, in a tiny cheap studio or something, as i have done the livng with strangers thing and didnt like it.

can anyone suggest anything? ive only got 4 days lol and the normal student studio sites (ie adele.org estudines laureades etc etc) are all fully booked and dont write back!

try to go outside Lyon.
Amberieu En Bugey is only 30 minutes by train

3 options
first ask university authorities for help
second - French tourist information office at Lyon will have loads of details of places to rent, from caravans to apartments
third, Youth Hostel accomodation (Auberge de Jeunesse) - check out via your local YHA - they often have bed sit type accomodation, always have internet access, and they are cheap and great fun

hmm i think you should get a hotel then talk to people on the university to see if they can let you live with them
