The Royal Atlas just opened about one year ago. It took some time to get things running smoothly...they really opened earlier than they should have. But now things are good.
It is beach front and near enough to tourist things. The beach front area has recently finished a major renovation and is looking great.
Your hotel will be able to help you out with excursions. Agadir is more of a city for tourists to relax in. It is not the Morocco that ppl imagine Morocco to be...riads, old cobble streets, old city etc. It is more modern, only 48 years old really. There is a bird park here, some nice parks for younger kids. The beach is great. You can travel a short distance north and rent quads or dune buggies. Essaouira is just a couple hours away and is a must see in my opinion. Marrakech is a few hours away and is worth it if you stay over night at least one night there.
I highly doubt Royal Atlas would let Asmaa through the doors.
