Well, you're going to need a credit card in order to make a reservation and book an airline flight. Unless you go thru a travel agent and pay cash. You can put the cash on a pre-paid mastercard or visa if you don't have a credit card.

As for the best airline and hotel....you'll have to check around to find the best price...and usually the cheapest flight will have the most lay-overs. And the lay-overs will determine the travel time.

So...you're best bet is to contact a travel agent, or get a pre-paid debit card and start shopping Priceline or Travelocity.

Good luck.

I'm pretty sure you need a credit card to book a flight and to make a hotel reservation. You need to get one just for these kind of things

You can buy a plane ticket with cash. And you can pay cash at hotels. But getting a hotel reservation without a credit card will probably necessitate doing it well ahead of time by mail, paying in advance. Since you've got lots of time, why not get a credit card?

Niagara Falls, NY,I'm guessing will be about a 4-5 hour flight. Cost will be $400-$600 depending on the airlines and if the flights are direct or not.

If you plan to go alone, a credit card, or a DEBIT card (the kind that looks and works like a credit card, but you keep the money IN it, rather than paying later) or a prepaid card (works just like the debit) will be necessary. You don't say how old you are, but your family might just like to show you the sights. In exchange situations, that is often the case.

Or you could just go visit my family! They aren't that far away! (just kidding, really...you don't want to meet my old parents!)

Seriously, either put the money into a pay before credit card or an account (if you can in your country) that has a Visa or Mastercard debit card attached to it, OR you can bring the cash, and do it here.

And, no. This category is NOT only for Americans. It is for people who are travelling in America, and frankly, you did a better job of posting the question where it belongs than a lot of Americans do!

    Have a great time here!

Oh, and yeah...Niagra Falls is pretty far from Denver, but relatively close, I'm sure, since you must be from someplace like Europe or South America? Might be the only chance you get for years to see it, and it's worth the trip!
