Looks to me like a good business to be in at the moment

It is a good business to be in, but you will need a decent sum of cash to start up, as well as the ability to appraise the value of items, particularly jewelry. The licensing can also be more difficult than other industries. In Nevada for instance, any second hand dealer needs to get a privileged license that requires a fairly thorough background check.

Good Luck, you are onto something.
