Cheap FLIGHTS to America??

Question

Anyone know where I could find cheap flights to America (not hotel package deals just flights) from 19 - 27 of December? I need to help my dad find them as if we can find them we'll spend Xmas there. They have to be cheap because I also want to go to New York for a couple of days, does anyone know a good site for cheap national american flights ie. detroit metro to JFK new york (just an exampe not actual flight). They also have to be cheap because we want to go skiing in February.

Oops sorry we don't want to fly with Zoom.com because last time our plane was delayed both ways and one of the delays was like 3/4 hours

It's also from London Gatwick or Heathrow

Just search tours and travels and you can find a number of sites. But do not be too enthusiast as my experience says all offer same price though claim they are cheapest. You can get some discount if you get reserved more than one month earlier or if the flight is short of passengers and on last minute they are in search of them.
