Can I use my credit card with RBS in Brazil?

This is my first time to go to Brazil. I don't want to bring lots of cash with me. Instead, this time I will take full use of credit card with RBS. I am wondering if I can use it in Brazil, such as taking out brazilian cash from machines , paying hotel fares and so on. Your answer is highly appreciated. Thank you.

You can use your credit card to pay anything in almost all places in big cities. Regarding taking out brazilian cash it can be done but as someone had informed it will cost you some money (check with your credit card company). Travel checks can be changed by money in our banks and other places. Unfortunately you can not use the travel to buy things (like in USA).
If you are going to small cities in the northest of our country you can have some issues with your credit card.
Have nice trip!
