New York Hotel Recomendation

Can someone recomend a good clean and maybe a bit modern New York hotel close to attractions. My boyfriend and I are going for five nights in October. My budget is approx 2000-2100 dollars. Was looking at the Casablanca hotel but if someone can recomend one I would greatlty appriciate it! Being clean and bed bug free is my number one priority!!!

The Belvedere Hotel - 48th St 8th Ave.

It is a cheap, clean, nice hotel in mid Manhatten.
It Is A 5 mins Walk from Times Square/ Broadway
10 Mins From Central Park
2 Blocks From Rockefeller Center

Stayed There All The Times I've Been To NYC. It Is By Shops, Resturants And Everything! But Set Back From The Main Road So It's A Little Quieter.
The Staff Are Brilliant, It Has A Shop, Resturant, Internet Access, Gym & More..
Last Time I Was There (Early 2008) It Was Being Done Up. But You Couldn't Hear Anything.

If that's your budget for the hotel room, then you're in good shape - you'll have lots of choices.

Go to TripAdvisor.com to read comments from past guests. If you're wanting to see sights mostly in Manhattan, then you'll probably want to stay in "Midtown" [east or west].

If you think you might be interested in an apartment or condo [kitchen facilities can save on breakfast and lunch!], you could take a look at HomeAway.com.

Be sure and check the MTA's website for info about the subway/bus system, which is easy and safe to use at just about any time [except the "wee hours"]. You might save some money on sights by going to CityPass.com. You'll have to calculate whether it would save you money.

You might also want to check out Fodor's and/or Frommer's NYC guidebooks [or the on-line versions], as they will "rate" the sights and give you tips. They also have "walking tours" which might fit your needs.

    Have a great trip!

The "Park Central" hotel is really good. The rooms aren't huge but they're nice and clean. The hotel is close to all the main attractions such as Central Park and Times Square. It's also close to the tourist bus tours and the subway. It is in within walking distance of
    57th Street and 5th Avenue.

Well is that your HOTEL budget. Because if so, you will be ok.

A DECENT NYC hotel STARTS at about 250$ a night. A nice, modern, clean NYC hotel is around 400$ a night. So you have to factor that into your budget.
