I would like to live in USA

Question

Hi everyone , i'm 17 and planning to move to the USA in 1 or 2 years . I currently live in the UK and have a German citizenship . I was born in Fairfax County , Virgina . But left for Germany with my mom when i was 1 . I would like to work in the Hospitality industry and i currently doing a apprenticeship in a Hotel . Can I live in the USA because i was born there ? Can I work there ? I speak pretty good English , can write it , and i'm okay in German speaking .

If you were born in the United States and can prove it, then you are an American citizen and have an absolute, irrevocable right to live and work in this country.

You need not have stayed here, been educated here, or speak English. The citizenship status of your parents makes no difference.

If you have thier citizenship i think so..either way i think people form britain can move here with a visa so its all good. i think its the same with germans, they can move here if they like.

Looks like you're in luck! If you were born on American soil then you have dual-citizenship (or tri-citizenship?). Being able to speak German might be useful, perhaps there are hotels in the USA that deal with corporate accommodation from Germany.

Since you were born in the USA get your birth certificate and go to the US Embassy and request a US passport. You will then (once your here) apply for a Social Security Card, and with that you can work where you want to. You can also ask the embassy how to apply for the social security card, you might be able to do that there and you will have your US passport and Social Security card in hand when you arrive in the US.

I think you will need a green card to live and work in the usa. You will get the best advise from the america embassy.

Don't move here it is apsolutly horrible when I get the money I am moving threso inless you want to be in a stupid country with stuoid people than don't move!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
