Where to go for a weekend - Geneva or Zurich?

Hi,

Im thinking of taking my Mrs on a surprise weekend to Switzerland for our anniversary from London.

Ive never been there and dont know which is a better option, Geneva or Zurich?
Any suggestions on hotels, restaurants, shops etc?

Im commited to Switzerland at the mo as no visa is required...
Any other suggestions are welcome around the UK maybe?

I've never been to Geneva, but have heard it is a nice city. I also would like to visit there some day.

I have been to Zurich, however, and it is one of my favorite European cities. From the lake and into the city, the streets, everytihng. It was a wonderful week I had spent there, and look forward to doing it again!

Are you commited to Switzerland? Geneva is better than Zurich but neither are the best European destinations in my opinion.
