Any ideas how much it would cost to replace the rear door of a Chevrolet Tacuma?

Scrached and dented my rear drivers side door on a wall(scratch is whole length of door and 1" wide at least) and my husband says it will prob need a new door, my insurance exess is £300 so I am wondering whether to pay for repair my self or get it done on my insurance?

1. The cheap way is to pick up a door from a scrapyard and repaint it yourself then have it properly fitted.
2. Claim on insurance and you will still have to fork out the first £300.
3. Take the car to a panel beater and have him knock out the dents. Use spray cans to touch up the scratch.

Thanks might just try that, took it to a garage and they quoted me £1138!!
