The Sofia is mid-town, that's OK.

The Pacific Inn is near the waterfront, that's very OK.

The Lafayette is in possibly the least accessible location but it's a beautiful old-style hotel.

Tough choice.
Personally, my favourite is the Del Coronado, which I adore.

The Sofia Hotel was remodeled last year, it is in downtown San Diego. It does not have self parking and shares the block with the greyhound bus depot. The lobby has bell staff and is clean and comfortable. The location is Front Street and Broadway.

The Pacific Inn is a smaller Motel it is clean and comfortable. It has off street parking, and continental breakfast with waffles. It is 1 block from San Diego bay on Pacific Hwy. Its not really a highway just a four lane road with lots of traffic lights. The staff is friendly and they have sister properties such as the Marina Inn, Vagabond Mission Valley and the Bay Breeze Inn Chula Vista.

The Lafayette has a nice pool and rooms, but the location is not the best. It is on El Cajon Blvd. It has above ground and underground parking.
