i was told that for somebody to assume that you're gay, the ring has to be worn on the index finger of either hand.

urban legend, of course.

Alot of people wear silver coz it's suppose to represent your fem an side.

Doesn't it usually mean he's a widower? After losing a spouse people often wear the ring on the other hand or on a chain around their neck.

I've never heard of that meaning someone was gay. I was always told that it meant they were a widower. Or maybe he just likes the ring. :)
