Hi I'm off to Osaka in October for 2 weeks and and lookingh for a good value (paying myself) japanese hotel in Osaka. Also as I will be in that area for a while if anyone could give me information on nice places to visit by bus/ train in and around Osaka,I would like to hear that too.

I recommend visiting Doguyasuji in Osaka.
Kyoto is near Osaka,it is an old capital of Japan.
