1993 dodge spirit, hesitation when shifting into 1st, 2ND gears What could this be?

Question

I own a 1993 dodge spirit, when i put my foot on the accelerator, it feels like i must push down on it more to get car going. Also, the car has hestation when shifting into 1ST and 2ND gear. I checked the transmission fluid and it is full. 2 weeks ago had an oil change. Can you tell me what that could be? Car shakes in front end. Had tires balanced and an Alignment done.

big end? pressure plate on clutch?thrust bearing on clutch?
dirt in fuel lines or injection unit

Your transmission fluid may be at the right level on the dip stick, but have you had the fluid and the filter changed? the filters are made of very fine gorse, and if they are blocked they starve the pump of fluid. This could be your problem.The car shaking at the front end could be any number of things, hard to say without inspecting it.

might need a new clutch plate, car shaking at front might be the engine mount bolts have come loose somewhere, when your driving on a straight road level the car off and take your hands of the wheel. if it pulls sharp left or right then you have a serious problem something like the rack and pinion. but i'm no expert i never finished my mechanics apprenticeship. that'll be 200 dollars plus tax, oh and i replaced the screw in your front indicator lens thats another 2000 bucks.

Worst case scenario you must replace your transmission, or get it rebuilt. Dodge is notorious for tranny trouble. The bands are probably shot. Get rid of it ASAP and buy a Ford.(Only my opinion)

torque converter isnt reacting...very exspensive. the car will last a while still if your nice to it, but may cause further transmission dammage

It could be that you are driving a 15-year old car!!!
