Can you recommend a quality youth hostel in Lisbon?

I am thinking of going there in June around the time of the Sao Antonio festival on 13th. Can you recommend any cool youth hostels for me to stay in please. I am looking for

- fun atmosphere (none of all this 'hotel style' cr@p)
- good number of guests
- good facilities
- hostel bar (v. important!)
- good location

thanks a lot for your suggestions

It's a youth hostel.
The feast of Saint Anthony (festa de Santo António), is in 13th of June, but the highlight is in the night of 12th to 13th.
It's a party that longs for all night, until dawn.
It's the original Portugal's day for lovers (not that imported cr** like st Valentines Day... bahhh!)

hey i don't know about youth hostels but I just went to Lisbon a few days ago and stayed at Traveler's House Hostel.
I've stayed at many shitty hostels and this one is really awesome.
The atmosphere is really nice, everyone is really friendly the age group is mostly university aged from all over.
I stayed with some friends( we are 17-18) and booked ahead.
it's about 10 meters from the arc in downtown.

they don't have a bar but you can buy beers for a euro and they have happy hour or a keg sometimes

but anyway check out some hostels

Both Pousadas da Juventude (YH) are the same, full of Brazilians, their booking system is ridiculous and you're much better off staying at a B&B. If you want to hang out with PORTUGUESE, and NOT with foreigners, go out and chat to people, and make friends. The Portuguese are really open people, most speak good English and are very educated.

I am Brazilian, living in Ireland, have been to PT several times, and although people say Portuguese dont like Brazilians, I've never been badly treated and always had a great time there, although I have to admit in my first trip I was bit fearful of how they would treat me after hearing my accent.
