How long does it take to get to Amsterdam from Antwerp by train?

It looks like I can get a holiday offer(hotel incl.) to Antwerp by Eurostar, but not to Amsterdam. Is it possible to stay in Amsterdam and get to Amsterdam ? Are there good inter-connections by train? (It would be helpful if you could also tell me the name of the train.) Thank you.

Amsterdam and Antwerp are less than about an hour apart by rail, and it isn't a long drive either.

Amsterdam Centraal and Antwerpen are connected directly, no need to change trains.

I did this trip recently. Antwerp-Amsterdam is about 2 hours time.
In Antwerp central, you take the "intercity" to Amsterdam. Its leaving platform 22 usually on the hour, every hour. Nice about this trip that you do not have to change trains.

Alright i have done this trip like 3 times i the past 30 days it takes 1:45 minutes you arrive at 0:03 after the hour if the train is not delayed. Do not take the Thalys it is over priced.

Check the Belgian rail site for up-to-date info:

or

Travelling the other direction? check http://www.ns.nl for the Netherlands rail site.
