Have you stayed at the Norbreck Castle Hotel Blackpool UK?

Would you go again? What's it like?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker

Yes, quite a few times.
Food awful, and usually buffet style, with queues as long as the hotel itself. Expensive drinks, and not too knowledgeable staff.
NOT recommended

Many many moons ago when I was at a Star Trek convention there and the place was full of Klingons. They hold quite a lot of sci-fi conventions and other conferences and meetings, and one has to be careful what dates you choose if you don't want to walk into someone dressed as Darth Vader. It's supposed to have undergone a complete refit and refurbishment since I was there last pre-2005. I never had any issues with the place. They are used to large numbers of guests though, so it is not a very personal service. You can get herded around like cattle, and some parts of the hotel are definately past their best. Average for what it is (a large hotel with a lot of footfall of guests), but I'd probably choose a smaller B&B place myself.

Yes, I have stayed a few times. Its very big and sometimes the food can be hit or miss. If you pay full price its expensive for what you get. Look at teletext for a deal. Also have a look at trip advisor to see other views.

I don't know it - not a fan of Blackpool as a place to visit, anyway. However, if I am looking for accommodation anywhere I find it best to check the place out, as you are doing, and my recommendation is that you look it up on www.tripadvisor.com.

Good luck - I hope you enjoy your visit to Blackpool, anyway.
