Does anyone know of a reasonable hotel in central Hamburg in a nice area?...?

Three male members of my family are going on a sightseeing trip there for 4 days in October and just want a nice B&B or hotel in a nice area (as I've heard some areas are not very good). They want a triple room and breakfast and were thinking of spending no more than 400 pounds for the 4 nights. Thanks.

Try Crowne Plaza Hotel - ugly building but great view and great location near Dammtor Station;Empire Riverside is nice ...also Hotel Hafen Hamburg ... u will love Hamburg, just as I do I travel there every year... it is so much fun.

October 3rd Hamburg will be the host of the DAY OF GERMAN unity - so there will be many people in town.

The official party of the German government will be in Germany`s boomtown.

There are many very good hotels in Hamburg. You don't want to book a hotel if it is near the Reeperbahn or Sankt Pauli, which is the Red Light District. Other than that the "Innenstadt" (downtown) of Hamburg is very safe and clean.
So your budget is around 500 Euros for 4 nights.
The Hotel Hafen Hamburg is a very nice hotel, right by the harbour where you can get a room for three people for 530 Euros for four nights: http://www.hotel-hafen-hamburg.de/
The Best Western Chain has a hotel in a pretty good part of town at the Adenauerallee 41: http://www.bestwestern.de/
Last but not least the Fürst Bismarck Hotel that has reasonable prices like these: http://www.fuerstbismarck.de/?pid=51&sub…
Hope I could help! Hamburg is a wonderful city, I hope your family members will have fun. Good luck booking!
Oh and if you need any further help with booking ( I know it sucks, all the sites are in German ) let me know, I can help you anytime :)

well....as far as I can tell, it should definitely not be the problem finding a hotel, the problem most often is, finding the right one....as you can imagine with Hamburg being such a big city, there are soooo many hotels that you go crazy if you look at all of them...there is a page... http://hamburg.topicbook.co.uk that has a nice overview of hotels and other interesting stuff in hamburg, that your family should definitely look at before they come. trust me its a huge amount of interesting information. ALL IN ENGLISH!!! the hotels are categorised by "stars" and each category is organised starting with the lowest price. and when holding the mouse on them, youll get a descritption. Pretty NEAT! So depending on what youre looking for exactly, I'm sure youll find something there.
about the hotels again....there is the "Hotel Graf Moltke" or "Hotel Commodore" but really I dont want to suggest anything, because I havent actually been staying in hotels in Hamburg, because I live in hamburg myself. So really I would suggest you check out the page (linked above), because I am 100% sure youll find what you need.
i hope itll help...good luck and enjoy your stay in my favourite city in Europe....
