Singapore Airlines stopover hotel?

Question

Hi there,
Any advice on what hotel to pick in cat A or cat B
These are the choices
Cat A
Allson
Copthorne Orchid
Furama RiverFront
Peninsula.Excelsior
Hotel Royal
Royal@Queens
Cat B
Furama City Centre
Gallery
Holiday Inn Atrium
Miramar
Plaza Parkroyal on Beach Road
Our first choice was Allson but that is full, second choice was Plaza Parkroyal on Beach Road but app on the dates we want it's apprantly going to cat C and will be more expensive. Which is very naughty as it's advertised as cat B for this years prices.
We are there for 2 days and will have a 3 month old baby with us.
Any advice will be great.

We stayed in the Peninsula Excelsior last May on our stopover in Singapore, it was a great location for most things, nice coffee shop just outside the hotel were you can get lovely sandwiches and breakfasts for very little, shops over the road and a good all day store just round the corner for anything you may need, taxis are cheap in Singapore and there are lots of hop on hop off buses too, there's a fantastic swimming pool at the Excelsior if you fancy a swim and the showers are just inside the loos as you come back inside, we didn't eat at the hotel though, we thought the prices were a bit steep considering everywhere else in Singapore is dirt cheap, tons and tons of places to eat in Singapore and very cheap too, the taxi drivers are fantastic at telling you the best places to eat, your not too far from Raffles either, have a great time.

Have stayed at both the Peninsula Excelsior and the Furama City Centre. I liked the Furama C/C as it was close to the river and right next to bustling Chinatown with it's interesting street markets.
Singapore is one of my favourite destinations, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I have done on the five occasions I've been there.

peninsula excelsior is much nearer to the main city...
miramar,gallery,furama riverfront holiday atrium is very near to each other is kinda out of place but near to club/pub/disco but since u said u have a baby so i assume you wouldnt be going to any those places. allson and royal @ queen is just back to back. and quite near to main city too. hotel is out of place too. so i guess peninsula and queen is better choice of all but they both quite small hotel.

well, i guess the Furama City Centre is a great place to stay, it is after all a 4-star hotel, you can get good dining places like the Tiffany Cafe and Restaurant that i found on 88db, have fun
