Anyone been to the Geneva Motor show?

Our plan is to go this year and would appreciate any advice with what are the best days to go, etc.

Is it a one day visit (like i would for the UK motor show) or would 2 days better to see everything?

Any suggestions with hotels would be welcome too, we're going to do this on a reasonably small budget.

We'll have 2 nights in Geneva the place so is there plenty to keep us entertained? Is it a banging club mecca or pretty quiet?

Thanks in advance.

I think that 1 day is sufficient to visit the Motor Show. Preferably a day of week because the week end it's crammed enough.
There is a special package motor show starting from CHF 84. - which includes 1 entrance + 2-hours guided City Tour by bus or 2-hours guided walking tour in the Old Town or Cruise
“De la Sirène et des Petits Ports”. + Transport Card valid throughout your stay on Unireso.
Have fun

I agree with going during the week.. I went on a Saturday and I could hardly get through. But the Motor Show was one of the many highlights in Switzerland. Switzerland was one of the greatest countries I have been too! Enjoy it!!

Hope you already have your airplane tickets....last min. it is more expensive.
The motor show is now at Palexpo, near the airport.
plenty of hotels there........small budget....not in Switzerland.
Hotel room approx. $100 to $200/nite for low end prices. But maybe not during the Motor show. Will be dificult to find low price hotels at that time.
Don't know where you are from, but food is quite expensive in Geneva, and so are the electronics, clothing, etc....

go to: www.myswitzerland.com (official site of the office of Tourism of Swizterland) or www.geneva-tourism.ch
