Most Childminders in the area where I live (South East UK) charge between £2.50 and £3.50 per child, per hour. Your earnings will depend on how many children you look after and for how long each day. Ofsted will assess your home when you register and will set boundaries on how many children you can look after at each time according to their ages (regulations with adult / child ratios will apply). In the South East, parents have the opportunity of using government funded free childcare sessions; these can be used in either Nurseries, Pre-schools or with Childminders. Not sure if you already have, but do contact Ofsted, the Childcare information Service and your local Council and Social Services for more info on the funding side of things - you don't loose out, you get the cash given to you, so the parents don't have to pay it. They only have a limited amount of hours they can use, after that they pay your hourly rate. Good luck and have fun.
This at £4ph would calculate to £40.00.
This over a 5 day week is £200
You can only care for a maximum of 3 children under 5.
These ages are the most likely you will get at full time hours.
So 3 children at £200 each a week is £600 a week.
minus expenses etc..
