A good stop-over hotel in the Orleans - Bourges area?

Hi all. I'm travelling down to the Toulouse area this summer and will be breaking my journey around half way down. I think that'll put me in the Orleans-Bourges area . I would like to stay over in a smart hotel (up to, say 150 euros p.n.) not too far off the A71 and within easy reach of a good restaurant. I don't like chains and that's all I can seem to find on google. I'm sure I'm not the first to have this problem. Have you found somewhere you want to share?

I have occasionally travelled on business to Bourges (my company has a factory on the outskirts), which at its heart is a beautiful old town. Although you said you did not like chains, I usually stay at the Best Western in the centre of town - but this is not a concrete monstrosity! It's a very well furnished hotel but the exterior of the building is very old and charming. There are several good restaurants within easy walking distance. The only issue you might have is parking the car - But I've always been lucky on the street very close by.
